Jordan Sheriff trained as an aircraft engineer, where every job is checked twice. He brings the same discipline to boilers, central heating, gas work and bathrooms across Luton and the surrounding towns.
No job is too small. Jordan explains what's wrong, what it will cost and how long it will take before any work starts.
New and replacement combi, system and regular boilers, sized properly for your home and hot water demand.
Error codes, pressure loss, no heating or no hot water. Diagnosed methodically, fixed properly.
Radiator moves and replacements, cold spots, noisy systems, power flushing and new expansion vessels.
Wet underfloor heating for extensions, kitchens and bathrooms, plus leak tracing on existing systems.

Before becoming a Gas Safe engineer, Jordan worked in aircraft engineering. In that trade there is no such thing as "good enough". Every fitting is torqued, every system tested and every job signed off.
That habit stuck. Sheriff Heating & Plumbing is a small, local business that takes on fewer jobs and does each one right, at a fair price. Customers across Luton, Dunstable and Hertfordshire have left over 400 five-star reviews.

His communication was clear and timely from the start. He demonstrated a deep knowledge about the issue and provided insights I hadn't considered. Truly a professional in every sense of the word.
Jordan and his colleague were prompt, polite and professional. Despite some slightly confusing wiring done by the previous owner, they had our new smart thermostat set up quickly.
Jordan was brilliant, tested my shower, bought and installed a new one for me in one afternoon. Would definitely recommend and use again.
I was impressed with how he explained the process of the work at hand. He left the working environment clean and tidy. I will recommend Jordan with any gas and heating work.
Jordan responded really quickly, came in with a very reasonable quote and carried out the work quickly, efficiently and very tidy. Highly recommended.
Very happy with the work done. Very nice guys too and left the house nice and tidy. Would very much use again.
Jordan regularly answers homeowners' questions on MyBuilder. Here are a few of the most common ones.
A healthy system usually sits between 1 and 1.5 bar on the gauge. If it keeps dropping, there are three likely causes:
All three can be tested and fixed in a single visit.
A combi boiler can only heat so many litres per minute. If your mains supply delivers more water than the boiler can heat, the water comes out lukewarm. A worn diverter valve or a blocked heat exchanger can cause the same thing.
In a bigger house with more than one bathroom, an unvented hot water cylinder is often the better long-term answer.
It's more common than you'd think and usually isn't serious. It normally points to a cross-flow at a mixer tap or shower valve. An experienced engineer can trace and fix it in a couple of hours.
Not the gas side. By law, any gas work must be done by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Once the supply has been disconnected and capped off safely, you or your builder can remove the fire surround and make good.
